Spring Spirit Stroll 2026 – Tales Beyond the Tombs
Exceptional southern storytelling will be alive and well in Historic Riverside Cemetery next month as Riverside Cemetery and Conservancy’s Spring Spirit Stroll offers ticket holders a guided walking tour with actors representing spirits of some of Macon’s most fascinating characters. Stroll through the beautiful 126-year old cemetery grounds in Historic Riverside Cemetery on the only historical tour in central Georgia that offers visitors a glimpse into the past, complete with costumed actors portraying captivating stories featured importantly in Macon’s history in one of Georgia’s most exclusive underground clubs.
Spring Spirit Stroll is a one-hour guided tour puts a human face on history for hundreds of visitors who enjoy seeing actors in costume at graveside bring history to life. Historic Riverside Cemetery’s Spring Spirit Stroll is not a scary ghost tour. It’s about honoring and sharing the stories of the fascinating people who came before us to make Macon what it is today.
Tours begin at 6:00pm, 6:15pm, 6:30pm 6:45pm and 7:00pm and will depart from the Gatehouse every 15 minutes.
The cemetery asks that guests please arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled tour time.
