Historic Riverside Cemetery & Conservancy has been closely following the news surrounding COVID-19 and its related public health concerns. By now, you have likely heard news of school and business closings as well the canceling of social and community events to prevent further spread of the virus. After careful consultation with our Board Members and our local health officials regarding the health and safety of our ticket holders, actors, volunteers, employees, and longtime partners, Historic Riverside Cemetery & Conservancy will be joining our community, state and national partners in working together to limit and eradicate the COVID-19 pandemic by canceling this year’s Spirits in October event that is scheduled for October 15th-October 25th 2020 in Macon.
Following increased and overwhelming concerns about the COVID-19 virus, we felt this was the best way to proceed during such an unprecedented global situation. We are very disappointed that we are unable to hold this event for our supporters, but we know it’s the right decision based on the data and information that we have today. Historic Riverside Cemetery & Conservancy anticipates the rescheduling of Spirits in October for a later date, to be announced.
